We’re Jack (him) and Rotem (her), the duo behind KOMI.

Our journey began on the sunny shores of the Gold Coast, Australia, right in the midst of the Covid chaos. Picture this: sitting at home, everything on pause, the world in silence. It was during these moments of stillness that KOMI Jewellery was born.

We knew only two things for sure: Our absolute love for creating meaningful, timeless pieces that transcend trends, tell stories, and forge connections between people, and our passion for rescuing animals in need. We then realised that our passion will be our compass , and just like that - KOMI Jewellery was born.

Komi stands for (KO) Kofifo and (MI) Miko and Mika - our rescued cats.

Kofifo, our very first rescue cat, was abandoned right near our rental accommodation in rural Victoria.

Miko - crazy, wild, ginger feline followed along as his mom escaped the breeders while pregnant, and landed at our friend's place (funnily enough they are animal rights activists, one smart cat, isn't he?). Miko was one of five kittens, and we happily gave him a forever home. A few weeks later, his sister Mika joined our fam, as she was the only one left with no adoption inquiries, so we just said, "Oh well, not much difference if it's 2 or 3 cats..." (yes there is! 3 is better)

The last to join our fam was Clyde, a 12-year-old poodle that was living in the animal shelter for 2 years, and was clearly never loved... We’ve had Clyde for almost 3 years, filled with love, cuddles, and treatments for his cancer (yes, we totally did that!) before passing on to Dog Heaven.

We have since adopted Charlie, our beautiful Capudle, another older gentleman dog, who was surrendered by his owners at the age of 14, as they had to move into a nursing home.

We have also helped to find a new home for a 14-year-old cat Gypsy, who was abandoned by her family.

At Komi Moon and Earth Jewellery, our mission is all about spreading love and making a positive impact in the world. We're not your typical jewellery brand – we're a compassionate community dedicated to supporting charities, especially those helping our furry friends. In our personal lives, we've swapped traditional gifts for donations because giving back means everything to us. Sure, we've had our fair share of challenges along the way, but each hurdle has only fueled our passion to keep going. As a team of self-taught artisans, we've learned the ropes from scratch, pouring our hearts into every design and negotiation. And let's not forget our incredible customers – you're not just supporters, you're part of our extended family. Each purchase you make fills us with gratitude and drives us to do even more good. Komi isn't just a brand; it's a labor of love, creativity, and kindness. From our team to our customers, and, of course, our furry companions, we're united in making a difference with every piece we create.
